This 2026 guide summarizes every major EV charger rebate available in British Columbia for single-family homes, stratas and condos, and workplaces. It includes the latest amounts, eligibility, deadlines, and how to apply.

Homeowners: Up to 50% of costs to $350 for an eligible Level 2 charger. Add $200 for an eligible EV power management device. Enroll a compatible smart charger in Peak Saver to receive a $250 enrollment credit plus $50 per season in ongoing rewards.
Stratas and MURBs: Up to $3,000 for an EV Ready Plan. Up to $600 per stall for EV Ready infrastructure with a $120,000 project cap. Up to $2,000 per charger with a $14,000 complex cap for networked Level 2 stations. Pre-approval is required.
Workplaces: Up to 50% to $2,000 per charger, $14,000 per site, and up to 4 sites for a $56,000 maximum. Pre-approval is required.
FortisBC territories: Additional funding up to $2,000 per Level 2 station for MURBs and workplaces that are FortisBC electricity customers.
Important equipment note: Tesla charging stations are not eligible for CleanBC and BC Hydro rebates as of March 12, 2026, unless purchased or pre-approved before that date.

Who qualifies in 2026
Homes
Single-family houses, row homes, and duplexes can apply. Chargers must be on the eligible models list and use NACS J3400 or SAE J1772 plug types. An electrical permit and inspection are required in the applicable jurisdiction.
Stratas and MURBs
Condo and apartment buildings can apply for EV Ready planning, EV Ready infrastructure, and networked Level 2 chargers. Pre-approval is mandatory before purchasing equipment or starting electrical work.
Workplaces
Most B.C. employers with on-site staff and dedicated employee parking qualify. Pre-approval is mandatory before purchase or installation. Projects must finish within the stated approval window.
Equipment warning
Tesla charging stations are not eligible under CleanBC and BC Hydro after March 12, 2026, unless they were purchased or pre-approved before that date.
Dates, deadlines, and availability
Single-family applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation. Funding is first-come, first-served.
MURB and workplace applications require pre-approval and must be completed within the window set out in the approval.
Peak Saver in 2026: Enrollment bonus is $250 for compatible chargers, with ongoing seasonal rewards.
Stacking and special cases
Local top-ups may be available from certain municipalities. Always check top-ups when you apply.
Combining incentives: When stacking programs, total incentives cannot exceed total eligible project costs.

Are smart chargers required for the home rebate?
No. The home rebate requires an eligible Level 2 charger. Smart chargers are recommended because they let you join Peak Saver for extra bill credits.
Do condo and workplace rebates require networked chargers?
Yes. MURB and workplace streams specify networked Level 2 chargers and require pre-approval.
Can new buildings apply?

Can I claim a rebate for a Tesla Wall Connector?
